Documentation Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and organizing high-quality documentation to help our customers and employees succeed. Your writing skills will be essential in crafting clear instructions that are easy to understand.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive technical documents such as user guides, software manuals, and instructional articles
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers and product managers to ensure accurate and up-to-date information
  • Transform complex technical language into accessible content that meets the needs of diverse audiences
  • Create engaging visual aids like diagrams, flowcharts, and screenshots to support your writing
  • Organize and maintain documentation systems to facilitate easy access and retrieval
  • Test and refine your work to guarantee accuracy and usability
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in documentation and knowledge management
  • Contribute to the development of standard formats and templates to ensure consistency across all documentation
  • Identify opportunities to improve our documentation and propose solutions to enhance its quality and relevance

Requirements:

  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Proven experience in creating various types of technical documents
  • Able to ask insightful questions to gather information from subject matter experts
  • Familiarity with documentation tools and platforms such as Confluence or Zendesk Guide
  • Strong research and analytical skills to verify information and provide accurate results
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in developing API documentation or guides for programmers
  • Knowledge of docs-as-code principles and best practices
  • Proficiency in using Confluence and Jira software
  • Background in documenting online marketplaces or platforms
