Job Opportunity: Assistant Bid Writer

We are seeking a highly skilled Bid Writer to join our team and contribute to the success of our proposals. As an Assistant Bid Writer, you will play a crucial role in researching, drafting, and submitting high-quality bids that meet client needs and exceed expectations.

The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and work effectively under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and bid management tools is essential, as well as experience or strong knowledge in bid writing, marketing, or project planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and edit responses to Invitations to Tender, tailoring bid content to accurately address client needs and highlight company strengths.
  • Liaise with colleagues across departments to collect information for proposals and incorporate stakeholder feedback into bid documentation.
  • Proofread all bid documents for grammatical accuracy and adherence to client specifications, ensuring compliance with corporate branding and quality standards.
  • Conduct market and client research to shape tender responses effectively and maintain a database of prior bids and responses for future use.
  • Track and report on bid progress against set timelines, supporting the maintenance of a bid calendar and ensuring alignment with submission deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and bid management tools.
  • Experience or strong knowledge in bid writing, marketing, or project planning.
