Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to join our team as a Financial Operations Specialist. In this critical role, you will play a key part in managing day-to-day transactional finance processes, ensuring accurate and compliant financial operations across the business.

As a Financial Operations Specialist, you will work closely with the Finance Controller and wider finance team to drive efficiency and effectiveness in all aspects of finance. Your expertise in finance operations, attention to detail, and analytical thinking will be invaluable assets in achieving business goals.

  • Manage the finance inbox, processing supplier invoices, credit cards, and employee expenses in NetSuite with high accuracy.
  • Raise purchase orders as required and ensure alignment with financial records.
  • Prepare weekly payment runs for review and processing, ensuring timely payments.
  • Send sales invoices, track payment status, and follow up with debtors as necessary.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, maintaining transactional integrity.
  • Support VAT return preparation and filing, adhering to UK tax standards.
  • Assist in preparing accruals, prepayments, fixed asset register maintenance, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Collate and prepare year-end data, supporting audit documentation requests.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Controller on various finance-related projects and reporting tasks.
RequirementsWhat You Need
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience within a finance function.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and month-end/year-end processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience in NetSuite a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently.
  • Understanding of data privacy and financial compliance standards.
