Job Title: Clinical Lead Social Worker

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Social Worker and Clinical Coordinator to join our Child Development Unit as a clinical leader, responsible for delivering advanced social work assessments and interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead complex clinical social work assessments and interventions for infants, children, and adolescents with neurodevelopmental differences in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Coordinate and manage adolescent services, ensuring culturally sensitive care and navigation of health systems for diverse families.
  • Provide supervision, mentorship, and consultation to CDU staff, responding to inquiries from consumers and promoting consumer engagement.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and service development to optimize patient outcomes in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Advocate for families and support navigation of health systems while promoting culturally sensitive practices.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent in Social Work with full membership eligibility in the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Advanced clinical judgment, patient-centered practice, and leadership within social work and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to build trust and interact sensitively with patients, families, and staff.
  • Substantial senior-level experience managing complex caseloads, providing clinical supervision, and working within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Extensive clinical knowledge in social work specialty, child development, community resources, relevant legal requirements, and allied health roles.
