Leadership and Operational Excellence Manager

We are seeking an accomplished Leadership and Operational Excellence Manager to lead and scale our operational team. This senior leadership role requires someone with strong financial acumen and proven operations management experience who can build efficient systems, oversee diverse operational functions, and manage both internal teams and external consultants across areas they may not personally specialize in.

This is a strategic role that enables company growth while maintaining operational excellence. The successful candidate will design and implement scalable back-office processes, drive data-informed decision making through KPI development, and collaborate with business operation technologists to enhance system integrations, automation, and data management.

  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Directly manage a team of operations specialists covering business operations, accounting/HR, administrative support, sales/marketing support, and business technology.
    • Provide strategic guidance, performance management, and professional development for team members with diverse skill sets.
  • Financial Operations:
    • Oversee bookkeeping and accounting operations, including A/R management, billing cycles, payment processing, and financial reporting.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain relationships with CPAs and external financial advisors.
  • Strategic Operations & Systems:
    • Design and implement scalable back-office processes that enable our professional services and sales teams to focus on client delivery and business development.
    • Collaborate with Business Operations Technologists to enhance system integrations, automation, and data management.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of operations management experience, preferably managing remote or distributed teams, and strong finance and bookkeeping background with hands-on experience in financial operations and compliance.
