Logistics Accounting Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Logistics Accounting Analyst. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting or law, with experience in auditing software systems and UPS/FedEx invoices.

This position involves conducting thorough audits of UPS/FedEx invoices, reviewing and assessing software systems, investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies, preparing detailed reports and summaries, developing and implementing controls, and staying updated on relevant legal, regulatory, and industry standards.

About This Role
  • Audit UPS/FedEx invoices to identify billing errors, overcharges, and discrepancies.
  • Review and assess software systems for accuracy, compliance, and process efficiency.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed reports and summaries of audit findings with actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and implement controls to prevent future discrepancies and optimise processes.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal, regulatory, and industry standards related to shipping and billing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough audits of UPS/FedEx invoices, reviewing and assessing software systems, investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies, preparing detailed reports and summaries, developing and implementing controls, and staying updated on relevant legal, regulatory, and industry standards.

Requirements
  • Proven accounting experience, specifically within a logistics or warehousing company.
  • Proven experience in auditing, invoicing, billing and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with UPS/FedEx billing systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in auditing tools and software; advanced skills in MS Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
