Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Audit Senior Associate to join our team. In this role, you will assist in performing audits of client financial statements under the supervision of senior personnel.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college and 3-7 years of recent public accounting experience in audit. They will also have a strong understanding of generally accepted auditing standards, GAAP, and industry-specific rules.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and have excellent research, organizational, and analytical skills. They will also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

In addition to their technical skills, the successful candidate will have a strong commitment to providing exceptional client service and a high level of integrity.

This is a remote position, and we require a dedicated home office area with private, quiet workspace and reliable internet connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in performing audits of client financial statements under the supervision of senior personnel.
  • Complete audit workpapers by documenting audit tests and findings.
  • Research and develop knowledge of current audit legislation to ensure compliance with US federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Collect, assimilate, and analyze client data using standard processes and tools to complete assigned project work.
  • Assist in identifying technical issues in various projects and share suggestions with senior personnel to mitigate these issues.
  • Recommend ways to streamline operations and increase client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college.
  • 3-7 years of recent public accounting experience in audit.
  • ERISA, Employee Benefit Plans Experience Required.
  • Understanding of generally accepted auditing standards, GAAP, and industry-specific rules.
  • Experience with a paperless auditing application preferred.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong research, organizational, computer, and analytical skills needed.
  • A desire to provide exceptional client service with the highest level of integrity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
