We're seeking an expert in system design to join our team. This role involves providing direction, inputs, and sign-off on projects that impact assigned domains. The successful candidate will ensure the overall integrity, sustainability, and robustness of system design throughout the entire development lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain domain expertise and serve as a solutions subject matter expert.
  • Provide design direction and recommendations in terms of software solutions, infrastructure, methodologies, skills, talents, and innovation.
  • Collaborate with Project Teams, Enterprise Architect, and different IT teams to create holistic solutions across several domains.
  • Act as a custodian of Design and Development best practices, which need to be cascaded and upheld to the development teams.
  • Co-create architecture submissions along with project teams and align with Architecture Team prior to presentation.
  • Perform proof of concepts needed to support the viability of proposed solutions.
  • Assist in development tasks as needed to augment the development team.
Requirements
  • Systems Development Life Cycles, its stages, major tasks, and deliverables.
  • Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
  • Insurance principles, terminology, policies, and procedures.
  • At least 4 years of experience in system analysis, solutioning, and coding, preferably in the insurance or financial industry.
  • Experience in any of the following capabilities to support insurance business:
    • Client onboarding.
    • Advisor onboarding.
    • Insurance after-sales administration.
    • Financial payment and disbursement.
    • Accounting and other financial fields.
Preferred Skills
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, good interviewing skills (for design presentations with different stakeholders), good oral and written communication skills, and good customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge in the following development principles:
    • Efficiency and reusability.
    • Maintainability and portability.
    • Security and Performance.
  • Knowledge in the following technical tools and coding languages:
    • Micro front-end approaches and tools.
    • Web component, Angular/React, Bootstrap, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Invision.
    • Java or NodeJS, jUnit, Bitbucket, Jenkins (CI/CD) development tools.
    • Spring framework, Spring boot.
    • JSON. XML, SoapUI.
    • Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge on upcoming technologies:
    • Cloud platform (AWS/Azure).
    • Event-driven architecture (Kafka, Event Bridge, SQS).
    • Architectural patterns (e.g., Light4J, API gateway).
