Job Title: Front Office Agent

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Front Office Agent to join our team at The Excelsior Hotel.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing guest reservations, handling transactions, and communicating with housekeeping staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet guests and check them into their rooms, ensuring all required information is collected and entered into the hotel's computer system.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions, and balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift.
  • Manage guest reservations, ensuring that all rooms are properly assigned and that any changes to reservations are communicated to guests.
  • Answer guest inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating any issues to the appropriate manager as needed.
  • Communicate with housekeeping staff to ensure that rooms are cleaned and ready for new guests in a timely manner.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel amenities, local attractions, and restaurants to assist guests with their needs.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; a college degree in hospitality or a related field is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to remain professional and courteous even in challenging situations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in computer programs and the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently as needed.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Prior experience in a hotel front desk or customer service role is preferred.
