Software Quality Expert

We're seeking a seasoned professional to join our team and drive quality excellence in software development. The ideal candidate will possess strong theoretical knowledge of testing principles and exceptional critical thinking skills.

As part of our dynamic team, you'll be responsible for developing well-reasoned test strategies that consider product risks and customer needs. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality releases and contribute to process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Strategy & Prioritization:
    • Develop business-aware test strategies that prioritize test coverage logically and consistently.
    • Apply a risk-based approach to testing and analyze requirements, business risks, and edge cases.
  • Manual & Exploratory Testing:
    • Manage test cases and execute them effectively.
    • Analyze requirements, business risks, and comfortable with feature decomposition.
  • Technical Testing & Tools Proficiency:
    • Demonstrate strong knowledge of web debugging tools, proxy tools, mock data, error handling, and testing.
    • Database data and query analysis for deeper issue investigation.
    • API testing, logs analysis, and server issue debugging.
  • Self-Sufficiency & Decision-Making:
    • Show independent problem-solving skills and ask the right questions to refine assumptions.
    • Analyze information beyond a pattern-matching approach and make decisions based on business and technical contexts.
    • Proactively identify gaps and propose solutions.
  • Process Improvement & Collaboration:
    • Effectively manage test cases and contribute to improving test management processes.
    • Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases.

Our ideal candidate has 6+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in a fast-paced SaaS or tech environment. Strong theoretical knowledge of QA methodologies, test types, and test design techniques is a must.
