Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed as a Network Support Specialist, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  2. 3+ years of experience in technical support, network administration, or IT service management.
  3. Proficiency in Palo Alto firewalls, Microsoft 365 administration, and Aruba networking solutions are highly preferred.
  4. Strong understanding of networking principles (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and cybersecurity best practices.
  5. Experience with lean methodologies to optimize IT processes and reduce inefficiencies is a plus.
  6. Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) and remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer).
  7. Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator are advantageous.
  8. Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  9. Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
