About the Role

The position of Network Operations Specialist at Insight involves delivering exceptional IT support services to clients across various industries. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing break/fix support for client-managed network devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and resolve client incidents related to LAN/WAN/WLAN/SDWAN/Network as a Service structures using diverse technologies and protocols.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting to identify system failures, utilizing technical knowledge, SOPs, and expertise to manage incidents within agreed-upon SLAs and provide remediation and resolution.
  • Complete scheduled intermediate-level maintenance and management activities on routers, access points, switches, firewalls, and other network devices or managed network configuration items.
  • Document all findings, actions taken, and next steps in the ServiceNow platform.
  • Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to resolve complex network-related issues.
  • Work with the server team to ensure connectivity and data exchange between servers and other network components.
  • Respond to phone calls, chats, or self-service customer touchpoints and assist clients with any issues that occur (system, network, VPN, application, etc.).
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and propose and implement optimizations.
  • Participate in improving processes and knowledge base articles.
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned from time to time.
  • Assist senior and junior teammates as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree focusing on IT, Computer Engineering, or related studies from a four-year college or university.
  • At least 3 years of related work experience in a NOC or equivalent environment supporting IT infrastructure, including administration, support, and implementation of networks. Remote troubleshooting experience required.
  • Able to thrive in an environment characterized by rapidly changing requirements and an ongoing focus on meeting operational objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Presentation of a friendly and empathetic demeanor on phone or other voice/video collaboration tools.
  • Able to successfully manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong commitment to company values and operating principles.
  • Enthusiasm about networking with a keen willingness to share knowledge and help peers.
