Senior Android Developer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Developer to join our team. As a senior-level position, this role requires strong technical skills and strategic thinking.


About the Role

This is a key opportunity for an experienced Android developer to shape the future of our app. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in software engineering, with a focus on Android components and experience building or contributing to at least one Android app.


Main Responsibilities
  • Owning major features and collaborating with designers to deliver high-quality features inside the app.
  • Contributing to the development of the Android team's vision.
  • Maintaining and improving reliability metrics for key features.
  • Participating in cross-functional discussions with product, design, and engineering teams.
  • Reviewing code and supporting fellow developers.
  • Handling critical issues and unexpected challenges.
  • Ensuring successful feature releases and providing nightly builds for QA.

Key Requirements
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with Android components.
  • Experience building or contributing to at least one Android app.
  • Strong product design intuition and user empathy.
  • Drive to innovate Android UI/UX.
  • Understanding of testing principles and ability to write effective tests.
  • Self-motivation to improve the app and codebase beyond specifications.
  • Expertise in Kotlin, Coroutines, Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.
  • Excellent communication skills and user-centered problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to work with continuous feedback from leaders.
