About this Role

As one of our Senior Software Engineers, you'll be accountable for building and deploying innovative features that change customers' lives every day. From our trailblazing AI hiring tool to our fully automated payroll solution, every component of our Employment Operating System is carefully designed to disrupt the employment industry for the better.

Our world-class Product and Engineering teams delivered almost 1,000 new features last year. As one of our Senior Engineers, you'll play a vital role in the continued acceleration of our product strategy.

This will include:

  • Driving your squad to develop critical features for customers
  • Collaborating closely with designers, product managers and UX specialists to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Writing automated tests for production codes
  • Developing and maintaining key components of web applications
  • Conducting testing and code reviews for yourself and colleagues
  • Mentoring Junior Engineers within your squad
Requirements

To thrive at our company, you'll need to embody The EH Way. For this role, you'll also bring:

  • A highly skilled, senior-level background in Software Development (typically 6+ years of experience)
  • Focus on Server-side and RESTful API Development and integration
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Ruby, Python, TypeScript, etc. (we'll upskill you in Ruby when you join)
  • Proven experience implementing, maintaining and deploying full-stack web technologies
  • A strong understanding of best practice software engineering processes, testing, and Agile methodology
  • A team player who always puts colleagues ahead of yourself and has a highly adaptable and versatile approach to work
  • Good verbal and written English skills
  • Passion for learning, sharing knowledge, and mentoring teammates
  • Openness to expand your expertise into Frontend technologies and grow into a FullStack Engineer role (we'll support you every step of the way)
