AI Backend Engineer

We are seeking an experienced system architect to design and implement a robust set of backend services that interface with AI-based workflows. The ideal candidate will manage data access from structured and unstructured sources, support seamless orchestration between AI layers and data infrastructure, and develop performant, production-grade backend APIs and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop scalable, low-latency backend systems for AI or data platforms using AWS Lambda, EC2, and RDS.
  • Integrate structured and unstructured data access layers with AI frameworks and orchestration tools.
  • Architect retrieval pipelines using vector databases to enable semantic search for AI agents.
  • Coordinate with data engineers to support workflow automation across a shared data lake.
  • Design and implement task routing, memory management, and agent orchestration logic.
  • Contribute to platform-level observability, metrics, logging, and diagnostics for agentic tasks.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in designing and implementing backend services with strong programming skills.
  • Deep expertise in serverless architectures, microservices, and cloud computing.
  • Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks and deep learning technologies.
  • Working knowledge of database design, API development, and software engineering best practices.
  • Experience working with large datasets and distributed systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with multi-agent workflows and distributed AI systems.
  • Understanding of data integration strategies and cloud-native environments.
  • Comfortable with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
