Key Job Responsibilities

Hitachi Rail is seeking a Principal System Engineer to lead overall system engineering in turnkey projects. This involves ensuring the identification, management, and fulfillment of system and functional requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering system engineering technical documents on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards. They will also ensure the execution of verification activities for system integration documents according to the verification and validation plan.

This role requires strong leadership and technical skills, with experience in transportation system engineering and knowledge of ERTMS and CBTC signalling systems. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage external stakeholders effectively.

  • Lead overall system engineering in turnkey projects
  • Ensure the identification, management, and fulfillment of system and functional requirements
  • Deliver system engineering technical documents on time and within budget
  • Execute verification activities for system integration documents
Requirements
  • Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering or Information Technology Qualifications/ University Degree or Equivalent Technical Background
  • 10-15 years of Transportation System Engineering expertise
  • Knowledge of ERTMS and/or CBTC signalling system
