Accounting Professional Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Professional to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing expert accounting services to our clients.

Job Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Performing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Conducting account reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate financial data and analysis.
  • Supporting internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Additionally, you will maintain and update accounting policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to best practices. You will also collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support business operations.

Minimum Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably with experience in a large accounting firm.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Intacct) preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
