Job Title

Position: Technical Support Specialist

Hours of Work: 20 hours/week

Schedule: EST Timezone

We're seeking a detail-oriented Technical Support Specialist to provide technical assistance for ongoing engineering projects. You'll work closely with the Project Manager to prepare drawings, diagrams, and organized documentation that ensure smooth project execution.

Responsibilities
  • Create and edit 2D drawings using computer-aided design software (AutoCAD)
  • Prepare diagrams and layouts in Microsoft Visio or similar tools
  • Assist with developing technical documents such as cutsheets, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Organize and maintain technical documentation and project files
  • Conduct light technical research, such as identifying alternative components or suppliers
  • Support the technical team with other documentation or technical tasks as assigned
Requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and documentation
  • Working knowledge of computer-aided design software (AutoCAD)
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio or other diagramming software
  • Familiarity with technical documentation and project management principles is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience in technical support is preferred but not required
  • Proactive, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced technical environment
