Homecare Scheduler
The Homecare Scheduler is responsible for coordinating caregiver schedules to meet the unique needs of each client. This role serves as a vital link between clients, caregivers, and the agency, ensuring seamless communication and resolving scheduling conflicts efficiently.
To achieve this, the scheduler must have excellent time management skills, as well as the ability to think critically and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
Scheduling Responsibilities:
- Assign caregivers based on client needs, skills, and availability, planning for staffing gaps.
- Adjust schedules for emergencies, last-minute absences, and urgent client needs.
- Communicate schedule changes to caregivers and clients, offering incentives for hard-to-fill shifts.
- Act as the main contact for caregivers, handling availability, assignments, and policy updates.
- Maintain accurate records in scheduling software, tracking availability and backup schedules.
- Resolve scheduling conflicts and caregiver disputes efficiently.
Bookkeeping Responsibilities:
- Keep financial records updated in accounting software, auditing and reconciling reports.
- Manage accounts payable, verify caregiver timesheets, and ensure accurate payroll processing.
- Ensure timely invoicing and payment collection from clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Homecare Scheduler or in a similar role in the homecare or healthcare industry.
- Experience using scheduling software and ability to manage 75 clients and 300 hours of schedules.
- Background experience in Financial Management is a plus.
- Strong time management and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
