Private Equity Fund Accounting Job Opportunity

  • We are seeking a skilled Private Equity Fund Accountant to join our team.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to work with private equity fund clients, providing high-quality financial services and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing transaction preparation and processing, generating financial reports, and communicating with clients and investors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage transaction preparation and processing for private equity fund clients.
  2. Generate accurate and timely financial reports for review.
  3. Provide excellent client service by responding promptly to inquiries and addressing specific report and data analysis requests.
  4. Review calculations for fees, including management fees, capital calls, distributions, carried interest, and waterfall structures.
  5. Ensure accuracy and compliance of quarterly and annual financial reports with accounting standards.
  6. Support year-end audits by assisting clients in responding to external auditors' inquiries.
  7. Aid in onboarding new funds and launching existing ones by defining customized service models.
  8. Contribute to the development of technology solutions that enhance reporting efficiency and reduce manual processes.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements, promoting automation to minimize manual entries and enhance client value.

Requirements and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • An internationally recognized accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA).
  • At least 6 years of accounting experience, particularly in private equity, or a mix of audit/fund administration and private equity experience.
  • Familiarity with various accounting standards, including IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Able to work overseas.
