Project Director

We are seeking a seasoned Project Director to oversee, manage, and execute multiple projects involving low-voltage systems such as access control, surveillance cameras, burglar alarms, and network infrastructure installations. The ideal candidate will have extensive project management experience, technical proficiency in low-voltage systems, and a strong construction background, particularly in managing installations within building environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Project Execution: Oversee the configuration, installation, and commissioning of low-voltage systems including cameras, access control devices, burglar alarms, and networking equipment from start to finish.
  • Project Coordination: Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and timelines. Prepare detailed proposals and estimates for current and upcoming projects.
  • Client Communication: Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
    • System Design & Technical Support: Design layouts for access control systems, surveillance cameras, and other low-voltage systems using specialized software.
    • System Deployment & Testing: Oversee the testing and commissioning of installed systems to ensure they meet client requirements and industry standards.
    • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to system installation or equipment performance.
    • Team Management & Logistics: Assign tasks to technicians and subcontractors, ensuring work is carried out professionally and efficiently while meeting project specifications.
    • Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor the team's progress, identify potential delays, and offer guidance on technical, logistical, and operational challenges to keep projects on track.
      • Administrative Tasks & Project Tracking: Coordinate and verify invoices from technicians and subcontractors for payment processing. Use project management tools to update project statuses, track progress, and generate detailed progress reports.
      • Procurement & Resource Management: Estimate and organize the ordering of materials and equipment required for each project, ensuring timely availability of resources.
      • Scoping & Project Setup: Take an active role in scoping new projects, working with the sales team to define project requirements, deliverables, timelines, and costs from the outset.
      • Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with engineers and design teams to ensure all system specifications are accurately captured and translated into actionable project plans.
      Required Skills & Qualifications:
      • Proven experience managing complex low-voltage systems projects, including security systems, surveillance cameras, access control, and network infrastructure.
      • Previous experience in managing low-voltage installations in commercial or residential building environments.
      • Strong technical knowledge of low-voltage systems and networking equipment.
      • Proficiency in project management and design tools.
      • Experience working with subcontractors and external vendors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
      • Ability to coordinate and manage various project phases, including design, installation, testing, and project handover.
