Java Developer Position

We are seeking an experienced Java developer to join our engineering team, focusing on designing and developing high-performance, scalable applications using modern Java development practices.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture, enterprise-grade software solutions, and microservices architecture on AWS cloud platforms.

Location: Must be based in Colombia, with the option for remote work.

Language: Advanced English language skills (B2/C1+).

Timezone: Monday to Friday - 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, following Colombian holidays.

Experience: Minimum 4-7 years of professional Java development experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-performance, scalable Java applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
  • Implement and maintain microservices architecture on AWS cloud platforms.
  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior developers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency with Spring Boot framework and Spring ecosystem (Security, Data JPA, Cloud).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, and IAM.
  • Experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
  • Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and SQL optimization.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns and clean code principles.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Financial services industry experience (banking, payments, trading, or fintech).
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Knowledge of security best practices and secure coding standards.
  • Experience with performance testing and optimization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
