Job Summary

This position supports the Loan Officer in all facets of mortgage operations. Key responsibilities include loan documentation, data accuracy, and coordination with stakeholders to ensure smooth loan processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, verify, and organize borrower documentation, preparing and reviewing loan applications for completeness before submission.
  • Input and maintain accurate data in the loan origination system and CRM, coordinate and follow up with appraisers, title companies, and insurance providers, track loan file progress, and ensure compliance requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Draft and send communications to clients, partners, and internal teams on behalf of the Loan Officer, assist with pipeline management, reporting, file status checks, and escalation of urgent issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-3 years of experience in mortgage brokerage or financial services (loan processing or origination support is a plus).
  • Familiarity with loan origination systems (Encompass, Calyx, or similar) is desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple files, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
