Business Systems Analyst Job Description

The Business Systems Analyst plays a pivotal role as the liaison between the business group, vendors, and the information systems group. This professional analyzes project requirements, functional specifications, and assists in documenting business needs to ensure comprehensive solution development.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, gather and document requirements, and analyze them to determine underlying business objectives and problems.
  • Document and analyze current business processes, map process flows, and identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct data analysis and interpret trends, patterns, and insights to identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and revenue enhancement.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A graduate degree in Computer Science, IT, Management, or related fields.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a business systems analysis role.
  • Knowledge of Business Systems Analysis, Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Financial Services.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
