Job Title: General Ledger (GL) Accountant
Overview:We are looking for a skilled financial professional to optimize accounting processes and support automation initiatives.
This role will focus on journal entries, month-end reconciliations, accounts payable processing, cash and credit card recording, and financial system optimization.
The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing back-office processes and automation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:- Streamline accounting workflows and automate processes within the financial system.
- Record and maintain accurate and compliant journal entries.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial reports.
- Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments.
- Accurately record and reconcile all cash and credit card transactions.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement best practices to improve financial operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
- Extensive experience with financial systems and a proven track record of closing books for a U.S.-based entity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with SQL for financial data analysis.
- Proficiency in cloud-based financial software.
- Experience leveraging technology to automate accounting processes.
