Medical Billing Specialist - Remote Opportunity

Job Description:

The successful Medical Biller/Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing the billing and revenue cycle process for our clients. This includes preparing and submitting medical claims to insurance companies, posting payments from insurance companies and patients into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, reconciling patient accounts, identifying discrepancies, and resolving payment issues.


Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies.
  • Post payments from insurance companies and patients into the EMR system.
  • Reconcile patient accounts, identify discrepancies, and resolve payment issues.
  • Follow up on unpaid, denied, or underpaid claims with insurance companies.
  • Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain an organized accounts receivable system and generate regular aging reports.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, or claims management.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
