Mechanical Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in Fire Sprinkler Design and Estimation to join our team.

You will work closely with clients and internal teams to design and estimate fire protection systems for various commercial and residential projects, primarily in New York City. Your responsibilities will include preparing fire sprinkler system designs using AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP software, estimating project costs, and ensuring designs meet New York City Building Codes and applicable standards (NFPA, etc.).

Key Responsibilities
  • Design fire sprinkler systems for commercial and residential projects.
  • Estimate project costs and prepare take-offs.
  • Evaluate and implement NFPA codes and building regulations.
  • Develop system layouts based on architectural and mechanical plans.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients remotely.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Planswift, Excel, and Fire Elite.
  • Knowledge of MEP design tools and hydraulic calculations.
  • Strong familiarity with New York City Building Codes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
  • At least 2 years of experience in fire sprinkler design and estimation.
