Senior Accounting Leader Opportunity

A strategic Controller position is available for an experienced finance professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

  • We are seeking a seasoned leader to oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end close, general ledger management, tax filings, and audit preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accounting Operations Oversight: Ensure financial statements are prepared in compliance with US GAAP, overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end close, general ledger management, tax filings, and audit preparation.
  2. Internal Controls and Systems: Design, implement, and improve internal controls, accounting systems, and financial processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  3. Team Management: Lead and mentor a high-performing accounting team, ensuring clear delegation, performance tracking, and professional development.
  4. Audit and Compliance: Oversee the preparation and execution of audits, liaising with external auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication.
  5. Process Improvement: Drive process improvements and standardization across the finance function to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  6. Financial Analysis: Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and compliance, providing insights for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.

Requirements:

  • 12–15 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 5 years in a Controller or senior leadership role.
  • Deep expertise in US GAAP and tax compliance requirements.
  • Strong experience managing audits and working with external auditors.
  • Demonstrated success in leading accounting teams and managing people in a remote setting.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organized, disciplined, and detail-oriented.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a process-driven mindset.
