Hands-On Expert for Microsoft 365 Platform Administration

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be a hands-on expert responsible for the design, configuration, and continuous improvement of Microsoft 365 services across the organization.

This includes Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, and related security and compliance features.

The role leads platform enablement, ensures secure and reliable service delivery, and supports adoption across global field offices and headquarters.

The technical owner and subject matter expert for Microsoft 365 platforms will serve as the focal point for performance, integration, and user experience.

They will lead the configuration, deployment, and optimization of services across Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Power Platform, and related compliance/security tools.

Collaboration with architecture, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams is essential to ensure secure, compliant, and resilient service delivery.

The ideal candidate will provide technical guidance and documentation to support platform standardization and governance in collaboration with the cybersecurity team.

Partnership with Application Support and TBM teams is crucial to drive adoption, training, and effective use of productivity tools.

Supporting service integration across M365, Box, and other platforms within the digital workplace ecosystem is also required.

Third-level support and acting as an escalation point for complex issues and service interruptions are key responsibilities.

Working collaboratively within Agile teams, embracing iterative delivery, continuous improvement, and adaptive planning is essential.

Mentoring junior engineers and regional IT staff is also expected to ensure consistent capabilities across the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 platform administration and configuration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform) is mandatory.

Experience with Microsoft Purview, Intune, conditional access, and data loss prevention (DLP) policies is desirable.

Strong scripting and automation experience (PowerShell, Power Automate, etc.) is required.

Solid understanding of M365 licensing models, tenant architecture, and service dependencies is necessary.

Familiarity with hybrid identity management (Azure AD, Entra ID) and device integration is also required.

A security-first mindset with awareness of platform compliance and user access controls is essential.

Proven ability to document standards and procedures and collaborate across cybersecurity and support teams is necessary.

Agile foundation knowledge and ability to lead and contribute within Agile delivery frameworks is also required.

Experience supporting regional or field-based teams with varied connectivity requirements is preferred.
