Business Development Representative

A business development representative is a critical role that requires strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. They are responsible for qualifying inbound leads, identifying new business opportunities, and converting prospects into meetings for sales teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vet and qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns to ensure they meet specific criteria.
  • Meet service level agreements for timely response to inbound leads to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • SOURCE AND ENGAGE contacts at enterprise accounts via cold calling, emailing, and social outreach to establish relationships and identify potential opportunities.
  • Conduct in-depth research on accounts to personalize outreach and identify key buyer roles.
  • Generate qualified leads that meet quarterly quotas by leveraging various strategies and tactics.
  • Navigate conversations with prospects to uncover their business needs and position Cofense products as solutions that address those needs.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs and detailed notes in the CRM system to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Effective communication to connect with prospects and convey product value through clear and concise messaging.
  • Technical selling skills to communicate with prospects using relevant terminology and stay up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Objection handling skills to respond to prospects' objections in real-time and find creative solutions to overcome them.
  • Pipeline hygiene skills to ensure consistent movement of opportunities to sales teams and maintain a healthy pipeline.
  • Time management skills to prioritize and balance inbound and outbound activity to maximize productivity and efficiency.
