Job Title:

The Chief Safeguarding Officer is responsible for devising, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive protection programs to ensure the safety of individuals, assets, and property within retail environments.

  • Develop and manage security initiatives to safeguard company assets, personnel, and customers.
  • Design and deliver training programs for security staff to ensure effective security practices and compliance with established protocols.
  • Establish and enforce regulations and procedures aimed at minimizing risks to people, property, inventory, financial assets, and confidential information.
  • Monitor security operations, conducting regular audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and improve security measures.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety regulations and legal requirements.
  • Manage and supervise security personnel, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to standards.
  • Respond to security incidents, coordinating with relevant teams to manage and resolve issues swiftly.
  • Work closely with store management and other departments to maintain a safe and secure environment for both customers and staff.
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminology, Security Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in security management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols, risk management, and safety regulations, particularly within a retail environment.
  • Proven experience in managing and training security teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
