The Role:

This is a Quality Assurance Specialist responsible for ensuring the quality of end-products. The role involves identifying quality concerns via requirements review and product inspection, designing appropriate tests to ensure product quality, documenting defects and failure rates, performing root cause analysis, and communicating quality metrics in test reports.

  • Experience leading a team or mentoring/coaching other professionals is highly valued.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders is vital.
QA Requirements:
  • Three or more years of experience in manual testing (functional, non-functional, regression) is required.
  • Designs test cases and test scripts under own direction, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, recording and reporting test outcomes. Participates in requirement, design, and specification reviews, and uses this information to design test plans and test conditions.
  • Applies agreed standards to specify and perform manual and automated testing. Analyzes and reports on test activities, results, issues, and risks.
  • Evaluates design options and prototypes to obtain user feedback on product requirements. Tests the usability and accessibility of components and alternative designs.
  • Administers a range of evaluations, recording data and feedback. Analyzes evaluation data and recommends actions. Identifies areas for future user research.
  • Checks systems, products, services, or devices for adherence to applicable standards, guidelines, style guides, and legislation. Evaluates the usability of existing or competitor systems to provide benchmark values and as input to design.
  • Designs, codes, verifies, tests, documents, amends, and refactors simple programs/scripts. Applies agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result. Reviews own work.
  • Can replicate issues in QA environment based from the reported issue in production/SIT.
  • Can execute test cases based from detailed test steps in JIRA Xray.
  • Can raise bugs with detailed information of the issue.
