Product Insight Specialist

This role is not a general data analyst or research-focused position. We are seeking an experienced professional who can analyze digital product usage, define key metrics (e.g., DAU/WAU, retention, engagement), support A/B testing, and work with tools like Pendo, Amplitude, or Segment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze user behavior across the product to uncover patterns, friction points, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Define, track, and report on key product metrics (e.g., activation, retention, engagement) to inform product decisions.
  • Perform deep-dive analyses on new feature adoption, A/B test results, and product experiments to identify areas for growth.
Data Modeling & Instrumentation
  • Collaborate with engineers and product managers to define and validate tracking requirements (e.g., event naming, tagging plans).
  • Ensure accurate data collection through tools like Segment, Pendo, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or Google Analytics.
  • Monitor data quality and work with teams to resolve inconsistencies and improve data accuracy.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Translate business questions into structured analyses and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Create dashboards and self-serve tools to enable data access across teams and facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Work closely with product teams to embed insights into roadmap and feature decisions, ensuring data-driven outcomes.
Strategic Decision Support
  • Support product strategy with market benchmarking, customer segmentation, and cohort analyses to inform product development.
  • Help prioritize product opportunities based on quantitative impact and user need, ensuring that product decisions are driven by data.

Required qualifications include 2+ years of experience in product analytics, business intelligence, or a similar data role, as well as proficiency in SQL, Python, JavaScript, and experience with analytics tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Pendo, Amplitude). Strong communication skills are essential for explaining complex findings to non-technical audiences.
