Job Description

As a Patient Services Representative, you will be responsible for addressing patient queries and concerns, understanding their needs through active listening and interviewing, and coordinating information among patients, family members, medical personnel, and administrative staff.

The ideal candidate should be familiar with facility policies and procedures, medical resources, and medical regulations to provide effective support for patient health care treatment.

  1. Answer incoming calls according to established procedure and departmental standards.
  2. Assist patients in resolving their queries and concerns.
  3. Collect outstanding balances from patients.
  4. Provide assistance to third-party entities, such as insurance companies, regarding patients' accounts.
  5. Make outbound collection calls according to procedure and departmental standards.
  6. Support patients in resolving billing queries and concerns.
  7. Maintain the confidentiality of protected health information by adhering to HIPAA guidelines within the scope of the position's duties and responsibilities.
  8. Demonstrate a team-oriented mindset and commitment to supporting department and company goals and policies.
  9. Ensure reliable attendance and punctuality, maintaining good attendance and timely return from breaks.
  10. Perform other related duties as assigned.
