Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in UK accounting standards, regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of financial statements, VAT returns, corporate tax returns and other accounting deliverables.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of UK corporate tax returns, VAT returns and P11Ds while ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Supervise and review UK payroll processes, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Assist in preparing statutory accounts for UK limited companies in accordance with UK accounting standards.
  • Work closely with junior bookkeepers, providing guidance and constructive feedback while ensuring deadlines are met.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a UK Accounting Firm is essential.
  • Strong understanding of UK accounting standards, regulations and best practices is required.
  • Proven ability to review junior's work, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK corporate tax, VAT, P11Ds and statutory accounts up until submission is necessary.
  • Extensive experience managing UK payroll and HMRC compliance is an advantage.
  • Leadership and team delegation skills are essential.
  • Software proficiency in Xero and other UK accounting software is required.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical thinking is crucial.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary.
