Technical Data Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced technical professional to join our team as a Technical Data Infrastructure Specialist. As a key member of our data infrastructure team, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining robust systems and infrastructure for processing and analyzing large and complex datasets.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Apache Airflow, Apache Kafka, and Apache Flink.
- Develop and maintain reliable and efficient data warehouses using Snowflake.
- Build robust and scalable cloud-based systems using Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Improve Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes using tools like Jenkins and GitLab.
- Maintain and monitor various data applications, pipelines, and databases.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create and build analytical products and services.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of work experience in data engineering or similar.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Experience hiring, mentoring and leading junior engineers.
- Proficiency in Python with at least one data manipulation framework and SQL.
- Experience with REST APIs and building scalable API data platforms.
- Experience with AWS, Snowflake, Kubernetes, and Airflow.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch for monitoring and alerting.
- Comfortable with Linux and command line operations.
- Understanding of ETL processes and event streaming technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
