Job Summary:

Plumbing Quality Control Specialist

The Plumbing Quality Control Specialist will be responsible for overseeing a high volume of residential work orders daily, ensuring that licensed plumbers in the field meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

This role requires strong diagnostic skills to evaluate contractor reports, photos, and videos for accuracy. The specialist must identify incomplete or inaccurate bids, coordinate with contractors to resolve issues, and provide technical guidance and escalate quality concerns appropriately.

This position is ideal for a licensed or journeyman-level plumber ready to transition from fieldwork to a tech-enabled operations role. Key responsibilities include reviewing diagnoses, validating scopes, ensuring quality control before work progresses, and flagging issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and review numerous plumbing work orders daily across residential sites.
  • Evaluate contractor reports, photos, and videos for accuracy.
  • Identify incomplete or inaccurate bids and coordinate with contractors to resolve issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and escalate quality concerns appropriately.
  • Ensure all documentation and data entries are accurate and complete.
  • Serve as the final QA checkpoint before work approval, scheduling, or billing.
  • Utilize internal platforms for efficient workflow management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot delays or issues.
Requirements:
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on residential plumbing experience.
  • Master Plumber certification or equivalent.
  • Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to assess work via photos, videos, and notes.
  • Familiarity with common residential plumbing issues.
  • Ability to identify subpar work and guide contractors toward correct scope.
  • Clear, confident communication skills for technical discussions.
  • Willingness to switch from fieldwork to a fully remote role.
  • Quick adaptability to new software platforms.
  • Excellent organizational skills managing multiple work orders.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
