Job Description:

As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for the operations of computer systems related to UNIX & Windows operating systems, servers, virtualization and Cloud technologies. This includes building and maintaining web, virtual, and client server environments for the enterprise.

Additionally, you will troubleshoot and resolve any IT service issues related to operating systems and servers; partner with other infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve related issues.

You will also leverage optimization techniques to maximize the efficiency of all computer systems, and implement and maintain a systems business impact assessment to prioritize system recovery in the event of a failure.

Furthermore, you will train the technical support team on solving common systems-related problems, build and implement software standards for operating systems, servers, and virtualized infrastructure, and work with third-party vendors and consultants on developing system-specific skills.

Other responsibilities include evaluating new technologies to meet business needs or to solve business problems, managing and leading Root Cause Analysis, Lessons Learned, and prevention processes to provide high-standard deliverables that meet SLA (Service Level Adherence) and ensure CSAT (Customer Satisfaction).

Lastly, you will devise and implement policies for systems, perform Server performance and Capacity Management in order to maintain the sizing requirements for customers, and lead and build team knowledge capabilities and versatility and variety of personal skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Sound knowledge of administering at least one UNIX platform (LINUX, AIX, Solaris, HP-UX)
  • Knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies
  • Knowledge of hardware administration (Physical servers, Enclosures)
  • Basic knowledge of storage and networking
  • Containerization technologies RHOCP
  • GitOps
