Job Description

Key responsibilities of this role include creating high-quality structural drawings and Revit models that meet quality standards. This involves advanced model execution, model detailing, takeoffs/target value models, ensuring construction documents are accurately modeled, special conditions/complex family creation, and presentation on considerations (use of 3D views). Additionally, following BIM content standards and development procedures is essential.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for executing the Sprint plan by creating and communicating a plan of approach to project managers, understanding and documenting tasks to complete deliverables and estimate hours, committing and executing the plan, and reconciling the plan with the project team as needed. Proactive and effective communication with clients, collaborating and coordinating with other disciplines' design changes and model challenges, identifying underdeveloped areas in design and providing high-level options for technical leads, and understanding client value maps and delivering projects to meet client expectations are all key aspects of this role.

Furthermore, the ideal candidate will participate in continuous improvement activities, such as seeking out and participating in continuing education, participating in material groups, updating, and improving standards and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must have a strong educational background, preferably a Bachelor's degree, and relevant work experience in structural design. Autodesk Certified Professional: Revit for Structural Design certification is also required. In addition, the ideal candidate should have 3+ years of full-time work experience in structural design, experience in mid-sized structural projects, and working knowledge of Tekla, SDS/2, StrucSoft, and concrete, steel, wood, light gauge, and/or masonry design. Strong organization, oral, and written communication skills, as well as the ability to function in an autonomous environment, are also essential.
