Job Title: Packaging Designer

Description:

We are seeking an experienced packaging designer with a passion for structural design. As a key member of our creative team, you will be responsible for designing innovative and functional packaging solutions that meet client requirements.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in structural design for folding cartons and proficiency in CAD software such as ArtiosCAD or Cimex CAD Design. You will work closely with clients and production teams to ensure accurate specs and production readiness.

A strong understanding of packaging materials, die-cutting, gluing, and finishing processes is essential. Additionally, you must be detail-oriented, have strong organizational skills, and excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop folding carton structures to fit specific product dimensions and client requirements
  • Create dielines and 3D prototypes using CAD software
  • Collaborate with clients and production teams to ensure accurate specs and production readiness
  • Recommend box styles and materials based on product protection, cost-efficiency, and branding
  • Maintain organized project files and version control
  • Optimize structural design for manufacturability and assembly
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and materials

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in folding carton/structural packaging design
  • Proficient in CAD software such as ArtiosCAD or Cimex CAD Design
  • Strong understanding of packaging materials, die-cutting, gluing, and finishing processes
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to interpret client needs and translate them into packaging solutions
  • Experience with various folding styles (e.g., tuck-end, crash bottom, lock bottom, sleeve, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
