Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our managed services team as a Senior Cloud Expert. This role involves providing ongoing technical support, escalating incidents from our monitoring team, and performing proactive maintenance on clients' cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud servers, services, and software, or equivalent sys admin experience with on-prem server and virtualization environments.

  • This position requires strong system administration skills, including Windows and Linux, supporting and scaling virtual server cloud or on-prem environments.
  • Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS expertise is essential, along with experience developing CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, and Terraform templates.
  • Familiarity with Azure native services, such as Policy, Active Directory, Lighthouse, Monitor/Log Analytics, is also required.

The selected candidate will work closely with our core team to ensure the success of our Managed Services division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide ongoing technical support for clients' cloud platforms.
  • Elevate incident reports from our monitoring team and perform proactive maintenance.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify IT issues, troubleshoot, and follow up via email, ticketing system, and phone calls.
  • Install, configure, and administer client systems in cloud environments to enhance their infrastructure.
  • Tune cloud-based tools, manage cost, security, and compliance for client environments.
  • Prioritize monthly maintenance tasks, including patching, anti-virus updates, backups, and disaster recovery.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for each client's environment.
  • Advise clients on best practices to improve organizational processes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with cloud servers, services, and software or equivalent sys admin experience with on-prem server and virtualization environments.
  • Experience working in a 24x7 managed services, hosted service company, or Network Operations Center environment.
  • ITIL process knowledge and associated ITSM systems and service portals for Incident and Change Management.
