Revenue Accountant Position Overview

The Revenue Accounting team plays a critical role in the Finance department, ensuring accurate and compliant revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.

  • This position manages the operational and technical aspects of revenue recognition, including reviewing customer contracts, performing revenue allocations, maintaining revenue schedules, and supporting monthly and quarterly closes.
  • Key responsibilities include assisting in monthly revenue accounting close activities, preparing journal entries, performing key account reconciliations, reviewing standard and non-standard contracts, and managing NetSuite ARM to ensure accurate and compliant revenue recognition.

Excellent communication skills are required to effectively collaborate with finance and non-finance stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring solid accounting experience, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.

The Revenue Accountant will drive automation efforts to streamline revenue accounting operations and improve monthly, quarterly, and annual closes. They will work cross-functionally with sales, customer success, revenue operations, and FP&A to obtain data and reporting for monthly revenue entries.

Additional responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and improving internal process documentation for clarity and efficiency across teams, performing special technical projects, analysis, and ad hoc reporting, and playing a key role in the company financial audit, preparing and reviewing revenue-related schedules for external auditors.
