Senior Accounting Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Professional to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant to lead and manage the accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

  • The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of UK accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • They will be responsible for reviewing and overseeing the work of junior accountants, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Proven experience in corporate tax, VAT, P11Ds, and statutory accounts is essential.
  • A strong working knowledge of Xero and other UK accounting software is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to effectively liaise with clients.
Key Responsibilities
  • Reviewing and approving financial statements, VAT returns, and corporate tax returns.
  • Overseeing the preparation and submission of UK corporate tax returns, VAT returns, and P11Ds.
  • Supervising and reviewing UK payroll processes, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Assisting in preparing statutory accounts for UK limited companies in accordance with UK accounting standards.
  • Providing guidance and constructive feedback to junior bookkeepers.
Requirements
  • Experience in a UK accounting firm, preferably with a strong understanding of UK accounting standards and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
