Job Overview

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Purchasing Group. This role provides support to Production Planning and Control on all supply issues to meet production schedules and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all purchasing functions related to negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and purchasing systems.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing materials and supplies.
  • Evaluate and select vendors based on their ability to deliver high-quality products on time.
  • Plan and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with internal groups, including engineering, quality, and sales to ensure functional specifications are met, parts are available as needed, and product quality is maintained.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field
  • APICS/CPIM certification preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years relevant experience, with significant materials-related technical experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience in semi-con industry preferred
