Business Intelligence Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Specialist to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and business intelligence reports that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with Power BI in a data analysis or business intelligence capacity and possess strong skills in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling. Additionally, proficiency in SQL and relational databases is required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing interactive dashboards and business intelligence reports based on business requirements.
  • Working closely with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translating them into functional BI solutions.
  • Integrating data from various sources such as SQL databases, Excel files, APIs, and cloud services.
  • Creating data models and DAX calculations to ensure accurate and meaningful visualizations.
  • Ensuring data integrity, performance optimization, and usability of reports.
  • Conducting data analysis to support strategic initiatives and providing actionable insights.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • At least 2+ years of experience working with Power BI in a data analysis or business intelligence capacity.
  • Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling.
  • Strong experience working with SQL and relational databases.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data governance best practices.
