Procurement Associate Role
About the Position:The ideal candidate will have a background in procurement and construction, with 1-2 years of experience in the field. They will be responsible for sourcing vendors, managing contracts, and conducting site visits to ensure smooth project execution.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Vendor Sourcing & Management:
- • Identify and engage reliable contractors, suppliers, and vendors based on project requirements.
- • Maintain and update a database of trusted suppliers and vendors.
- Procurement Support:
- • Assist in all pre-sales and procurement processes including canvassing, proposal gathering, and initial vendor negotiations.
- • Conduct cost-benefit analysis and vendor comparisons for recommendation to Senior Procurement Officer for final review and approval.
- Project Site Support:
- • Conduct regular site visits to ensure proper mobilization of manpower, deliveries, and equipment.
- • Monitor the progress of Cebu-based projects and report updates to the Manila team.
- Administrative Support:
- • Prepare reports, documentation, and procurement records.
- • Provide administrative and clerical assistance as assigned by the Procurement Department.
- Graduate of Business Administration, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), or related courses.
- With 1–2 years of work experience in procurement, preferably in construction or related industry.
- Background in procurement and construction is required.
- Willingness to undergo training in Manila before being assigned to Cebu.
- Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools.
- Ability to manage time efficiently, has initiative, and problem-solving skills.
- Will perform occasional site visits within Cebu and nearby project locations.
