Job Overview

The Construction Estimator plays a crucial role in reviewing plans, performing quantity takeoffs, and creating detailed estimates of commercial construction projects.

This position requires strong analytical skills to identify missing or conflicting scope details, ensuring successful project execution.

An organized approach to gathering project information, using software such as On Screen Takeoff or Bluebeam, is essential for accurate estimation.

Main Responsibilities
  • Gather and organize project information, including identifying missing or conflicting scope details related to constructability.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs for all aspects of a commercial construction project.
  • Assist with construction document review, redlining, and requests for information.
  • Estimate components of the scope of work, including material, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Communicate effectively with the project management team.
Requirements
  • Degree in construction, engineering, business management, finance, accounting, or similar field.
  • Knowledge of construction components and their application.
  • Commercial construction experience across multiple trades.
  • Experience working with U.S.-based clients and relevant software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and Planswift.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
