Key Role: Solution Engineer

Snowflake is expanding its team to accelerate growth. We're looking for exceptional professionals who share our vision and drive innovation in data platforms.

This key role involves working closely with customers, providing technical expertise, and ensuring successful implementation of Snowflake solutions. As a solution engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Presenting Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers
  • Working hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle
  • Maintaining a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors
  • Collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve Snowflake's products and marketing

To succeed in this role, you'll need strong competency on modern data stacks, ETL/ELT, data warehouse/lake, data science and data apps. You should also have outstanding skills presenting to both technical and executive audiences, whether impromptu or using presentations and demos.

We're open to candidates from various backgrounds who can bring their unique perspective and skillset to the table. Experience with SQL and Python programming languages is a plus.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience working in customer-facing sales engineering (tech pre-sales) role
  • Strong competency on modern data stacks, ETL/ELT, data warehouse/lake, data science and data apps
  • Outstanding skills presenting to both technical and executive audiences
  • Hands-on expertise with SQL and Python programming languages
Desirable Qualifications
  • Data Science knowledge and experience
  • University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience
  • Software development experience with Java, Spark and other scripting languages
