Financial Controller Job Description

This role oversees the financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining internal controls. Daily tasks include budget preparation, financial analysis, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The Financial Controller will guide the finance team, support strategic financial planning, and collaborate with other departments for optimal financial management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversight of financial operations and accurate financial reporting
  • Maintenance of internal controls and regulatory compliance
  • Budget preparation and financial analysis
  • Expenditure monitoring and cash flow management
  • Leadership and development of the finance team; support for strategic financial planning
  • Collaboration with other departments for informed financial decision-making

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Accounting and financial reporting expertise
  • Experience with budget preparation and financial analysis
  • Knowledge of internal controls and compliance regulations
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or relevant certification preferred
