Job Title: Finance and Compliance Manager

The ideal candidate will oversee the financial management and accounting functions of our operations, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and compliance across multiple projects and entities.

Key responsibilities include supporting overall financial planning and budgeting, checking financials used in donor reporting, and overseeing financial management and allocation of funds for various projects.

The role involves ensuring all entities comply with relevant regulations, managing governance, transparency, and reporting for our social business fund, and overseeing bookkeeping, including transaction recording, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in financial management, accounting, or similar role.
  • Experience working with NGOs, social enterprises, or donor-funded projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards, financial controls, and compliance framework.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Advanced knowledge producing financial accounts to balance sheet and income statement level.
  • Ability to reconcile accounts and problem solve errors and review incomplete records and advise on enhancing financial controls.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks/MYOB) and in Excel-based reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
